Subhadra Yojana: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen) Nov 23: The Odisha government will launch the third phase of the first installment of its cash transfer scheme, ‘Subhadra Yojana,’ on Sunday, November 24, in Sundargarh, in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed reporters on Saturday that 22% of the 2.67 lakh rejected applicants will receive the financial assistance in this phase.
The scheme is expected to benefit over 20 lakh women in total. Parida emphasized that a thorough verification process has been undertaken to ensure the eligibility of beneficiaries, with a focus on transparency and reaching those who genuinely qualify.
The Deputy CM also addressed the issue of applicants who were disqualified due to non-compliance with property and land eligibility criteria. These women will undergo physical verification, and payments are expected in December. Many were disqualified because they did not own land as recorded, despite transactions in their names in the markets. These cases are under further scrutiny at the block level.
Regarding the 5 lakh rejected applications due to discrepancies in linking Aadhaar numbers, mobile numbers, and bank accounts, Parida assured that these beneficiaries would be included in the next phase. Anganwadi workers and Mission Shakti members will conduct physical verifications in every village to facilitate the process.
