Subhadra Yojana: Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Nov 28: All women completing 21 years of age are eligible for financial assistance under Odisha’s Subhadra Yojana, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Thursday. Speaking to reporters, she emphasized that women turning 21 this month can apply for the scheme, which aims to empower women across the state.
Parida assured that the government is addressing concerns of rejected applications, with plans to include all eligible beneficiaries in the fourth phase of the first installment. “Verification of rejected applications is underway and will be completed within 15 days,” she said, adding that priority is being given to districts with higher rejection rates compared to registrations.
Teams of officials have begun verification in Malkangiri, Koraput, and Gajapati districts, focusing on two panchayats in each block under the supervision of CDPOs. With 1.06 crore applications received and 22% verified so far, the government targets enrolling at least 5,000 beneficiaries per district. Eligible beneficiaries will receive funds after thorough verification.
