Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Aug 5: Three people, including two children, tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Keonjhar district, Odisha, on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Santosh Sharma, his son Ganesh, and his neighbor’s son Nikit Ghosal, all residents of Azad Basti in the Joda area.
The accident occurred around 7 am when Santosh was riding a motorcycle to drop the two children off at school. A speeding truck collided with their two-wheeler, resulting in the immediate deaths of all three individuals.
Following the accident, vehicular movement on the route came to a halt as angry locals staged a road blockade. They are demanding immediate action from authorities and adequate compensation for the victims’ families. The Joda police have started an investigation into the incident, and efforts are underway to address the public’s concerns.
