Two Bolbom devotees and commuter killed in truck accident on NH 16

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Aug 3: Three people, including two Bolbom devotees, were killed when a speeding truck ran them over near Dimiria village on NH 16 in Khallikote on Saturday. The truck, en route from Berhampur to Kolkata, struck the devotees and a commuter before overturning.

Two Bolbom devotees died at the scene, while the third victim, a commuter, succumbed to injuries at a hospital. The accident occurred when the truck, transporting goods from Andhra Pradesh to Bhubaneswar, lost control and overturned after hitting the victims.

The deceased Bolbom devotee has been identified as Ranji Nayak from Banpur. The identity of the second Bolbom devotee is still unknown. The third victim, Banamali Patra, a local labourer, was pronounced dead at Khalikote Hospital.

Police have seized the truck and detained its driver for questioning. Remarkably, the truck driver was unharmed in the incident.
