Union Minister Dubey to evaluate Nalco and Mahanadi Coalfields during Odisha tour

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 27: Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, arrived in Bhubaneswar on Saturday for a two-day visit to Odisha. During his trip, Dubey will engage in a series of activities across Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, and Angul.

The Minister’s itinerary begins with a review meeting at the Nalco Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar, where he will evaluate the company’s progress and discuss key initiatives. Following this, he will travel to Angul to inspect the Smelter Plant and then proceed to the Mahanadi Coalfields headquarters in Burla, Sambalpur district. On July 28, Dubey will participate in several government programmes in Sambalpur and visit various locations.

Upon arriving at Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar, Dubey addressed concerns regarding coal royalty disputes between states and the Centre. He assured that the Modi government is committed to fair treatment, stating, “Odisha is an integral part of India and will receive its due share. The NITI Aayog will ensure that states receive what they rightfully deserve.”
