Utkarsh OdishaBhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), Sept 27: The fourth edition of Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave, the state’s flagship global investors summit, is set to take place in Bhubaneswar on January 28-29, 2025. In anticipation of this significant event, a delegation from the Odisha government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, will conduct an interactive session in New Delhi on October 3, as noted in an invite from Principal Secretary of Industries, Hemant Sharma.
The theme for the 2025 conclave is “Odisha will be the growth engine of the development journey of the country in the next 25 years,” reflecting the Prime Minister’s vision for the state. This initiative aims to attract both domestic and foreign investments, further contributing to the Atmanirbhar Bharat agenda.
Sharma emphasized that with the Union and State governments strategically aligned, Odisha offers a uniquely favorable environment for central public sector undertakings (PSUs) to grow. The state is committed to creating advantageous policies and robust support mechanisms, particularly in sectors vital to national interests.
The first Make in Odisha conclave was held in November 2016, and the third edition, conducted from November 30 to December 4, 2022, garnered investment proposals worth ₹10.5 lakh crores, with the potential to create over 10 lakh jobs across various sectors. This previous conclave also witnessed the launch of the Industrial Policy Resolutions 2022, aimed at positioning Odisha as a premier destination for industrial enterprises both nationally and globally.
