IMD warns of continued heavy rain in Odisha until July 8

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 4: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued heavy rainfall across several districts of Odisha until July 8, as informed on Thursday.

On July 4, a yellow warning has been issued for heavy rainfall at isolated places in districts including Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balangir, and Kalahandi. Bhubaneswar may experience a cloudy sky with occasional spells of rain or thundershowers.
While no warnings are in place for July 5, heavy rain is expected to resume in Koraput, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar on July 6.

Further, on July 7, there is a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, and Ganjam. Heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated places in Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Puri, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar districts.

The forecast for July 8 predicts continued heavy rainfall at isolated places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
The IMD also anticipates light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places across Odisha from July 4 to July 10.
