Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), May 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make another visit to Odisha on May 20, as announced by state BJP vice-president Golak Mohapatra. Modi’s itinerary includes a vibrant roadshow in Puri, along with addressing public gatherings in Cuttack and Angul.

Additionally, Mohapatra disclosed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be headlining mega rallies at Rourkela, Sorada, and Kantabanjj on May 15. Following suit, J P Nadda will embark on a campaign trail for the BJP on May 17, covering Padampur, Sundargarh, and Hinjili, the latter being the electoral bastion of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

These strategic campaign stops span Bargarh, Sundargarh, Balangir, and Aska parliamentary constituencies, which, alongside Kandhamal, are slated for the second round of elections in the state on May 20. Notably, both Sorada and Hinjili fall under the Aska LS seat, traditionally dominated by the ruling BJD.

Puri, Cuttack, and Angul, encompassed within the Sambalpur LS seat, are scheduled for voting on May 25.
Modi’s upcoming visit marks his second in a week to Odisha. On May 10, he conducted a spirited 2.5-kilometer roadshow in Bhubaneswar, coupled with addressing ‘Vijay Sankalp Yatra’ rallies in Kandhamal, Balangir, and Bargarh. Shah had earlier initiated the electoral campaign for the BJP from Sonepur on April 26, followed by Nadda’s rally in Berhampur on April 28.

The ongoing electoral saga in Odisha witnesses simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections spread across four phases from May 13.
