Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), May 23: At an election rally in Karanjia, BJP president J P Nadda criticized the BJD government’s governance approach, alleging exploitation of the poor and tribal communities, resulting in mass migration out of Odisha in search of employment opportunities.

Nadda highlighted the disparity between Odisha’s rich natural resources and the struggles faced by tribal populations, emphasizing the failure of the BJD government to provide adequate employment opportunities. He asserted that the state’s residents have grown disillusioned with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s leadership and are eager for change, expressing confidence in the BJP’s ability to accelerate progress.

Questioning the leadership’s origin and authority in Odisha, Nadda raised concerns over the apparent lack of local representation in governance. He criticized the government’s outsourcing practices and highlighted the perceived silence of elected representatives. Nadda pledged that the BJP would prioritize local leadership and empower elected officials to address the needs of the people effectively.

Nadda also questioned the leadership’s effectiveness in Odisha, wondering aloud if there are no capable leaders born in the state. He criticized the government’s reliance on outsiders and contractors for project implementation, highlighting the sidelining of elected representatives in decision-making processes.

Nadda pledged to bring in a Chief Minister born in Odisha, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to local governance and empowerment of elected officials to better serve the people’s interests.
