Odisha CM, Deputy CMs meet President Murmu, discuss state issues in Delhi

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), June 27: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, accompanied by Deputy CMs KV Singhdeo and Pravati Parida, met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed various state-related issues and extended an invitation to her for the upcoming Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri. Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha for a three-day trip and participate in the annual event on July 7, marking her first visit to the state since assuming office as President.

The Chief Minister, along with KV Singhdeo and Pravati Parida, departed for Delhi last evening following a call from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). They are also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, and Dharmendra Pradhan later in the day. A meeting with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is planned for 7 pm.

This trip marks Chief Minister Majhi’s first visit to Delhi since taking charge of Odisha’s first BJP government on June 12. Additionally, the trio intends to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President, and Union Health Minister JP Nadda during their stay in the national capital until June 29.
