Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 3: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida reaffirmed on Tuesday that the Subhadra Yojna, a flagship program promised by the BJP Government, will be implemented within 100 days of forming the new government.

“The Prime Minister will visit Odisha and launch the scheme on his birthday, September 17. The State government will issue a notification. I urge people not to believe any rumors regarding this,” stated the Deputy Chief Minister, who oversees the Women and Child Welfare portfolio.

The BJP had pledged to introduce the Subhadra Yojana, offering cash vouchers of Rs 50,000 to women upon forming the government, which occurred on June 12. Preparation is now underway to introduce the scheme within the stipulated 100-day period.

Recently, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also confirmed the rollout of the long-awaited scheme on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and the start of Seva Saptah. “Prime Minister Modi will visit the State and launch the scheme in the presence of women,” added the Chief Minister.
