Bhubaneswar, (Repoterspen), July 3: Odisha is set to experience heavy rainfall from July 3-7 due to the influence of two cyclonic circulations—one over Manipur and another over Bangladesh—according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather agency has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, and Keonjhar districts on July 3.

Bhubaneswar is expected to witness a cloudy sky with occasional spells of rain or thundershowers.
On July 4, heavy rain is anticipated in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, and Bargarh districts. Although no specific weather warnings are in place for July 5, heavy rainfall could return to Malkangiri, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar districts on July 6. Similarly, heavy rainfall is forecasted for Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and Gajapati districts on July 7, with Bhubaneswar likely to experience intense rainfall on that day.

Additionally, light to moderate rain is expected across many parts of the state from July 3-9.
Meanwhile, Odisha’s rainfall deficit has decreased to 25%, with the state receiving 178.4 mm of rainfall compared to the normal value of 238 mm between June 1 and July 3.
