Online admission for Plus II courses begins in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), June 7: The online admission process for Plus II courses in five streams—Arts, Science, Commerce, Sanskrit, and Vocational—has commenced on Friday, June 7, through the Students Academic Management System (SAMS).

Eligible students are encouraged to apply via the official SAMS portal at www.samsodisha.gov.in. Before completing the online Common Application Form (CAF), applicants are advised to thoroughly review the Common Prospectus (CP). The deadline for submitting the online CAF is July 6, with the first merit list expected to be published on July 16.

Across the state, there are 2,221 higher secondary schools offering various streams. The Arts stream boasts 2.94 lakh seats, while Science offers 1.66 lakh seats. Additionally, there are 40,104 seats available in the Commerce stream, 13,088 seats in Sanskrit, and 10,504 seats in Vocational education.

This year, 96.07 percent of the 5.41 lakh students who appeared for the annual HSC examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education from February 24 to March 4, successfully passed.
