Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), July 29: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds in several parts of Odisha over the next two days. According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, a low-pressure area formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal near the north Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coast is responsible for these weather conditions.

The bulletin issued advises caution, predicting squally weather with surface winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph along the Odisha coast until July 1. Fishermen are cautioned against venturing into the sea in these conditions.

Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected across most parts of the state until July 7. The IMD has issued a yellow warning indicating heavy rain in districts including Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, and others, with Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain in isolated places within the next 24 hours.

Similar warnings for heavy rain have been issued for Sunday in districts like Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh.
