Student stabbed following classroom dispute in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), June 28: On Friday, a student reportedly stabbed his classmate following a confrontation outside Ramachandrapur Raghunath High School in Sanakhemundi block, Ganjam district.
Both students are classmates in Class IX at the school under Patapur police jurisdiction. The injured student is currently receiving treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital.

Sources indicate that the incident occurred around 9 am, just before the start of the school day, stemming from an argument over seating arrangements in the classroom. The altercation escalated, leading to one student stabbing the other.

“The incident took place during school hours. The injured student has been admitted to the hospital. I have limited information about the incident,” commented the school’s Headmaster.

Initially admitted to Sergarh Hospital, the injured student’s condition worsened, prompting his transfer to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. Authorities have detained the accused student and initiated an interrogation into the matter.
