Bhubaneswar, (Reporerspen), July 4: A servitor of Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri has been invited to the wedding of industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, scheduled for July 12 in Mumbai. Jagannath Kar, the servitor, expressed immense excitement upon receiving the invitation, mentioning that ‘Vishnu Sahasra Naam’ began playing as he opened the card.

Kar described Anant Ambani as a devoted follower of Lord Jagannath, noting that Anant had visited Puri twice to seek the blessings of the deity siblings. During these visits, Kar facilitated Anant’s smooth darshan at the ancient shrine.

Anant Ambani has also contributed to the development of Shree Jagannath Temple by donating silver for cladding the temple door. Kar has maintained contact with Anant since his initial visit to the shrine.
Kar mentioned that Anant and his wife plan to visit Puri after their marriage to seek further blessings from Lord Jagannath.

Reflecting on the invitation, Kar shared that Anant had verbally invited him during his last temple visit, and receiving the formal invitation card was unexpected yet deeply respectful. He also received a personal phone call inviting him to the wedding ceremony.

Currently, with all servitors occupied with the Rath Yatra preparations, Kar expressed his hope to receive Lord Jagannath’s permission to attend the wedding ceremony in Mumbai.
