Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), May 10: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning across various regions of Odisha over the next week, with some areas likely to experience heavy rain and strong surface winds.
The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar issued a bulletin indicating the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall in parts of the state within the next 24 hours.
A yellow warning has been issued, signaling the potential for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds, reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph, in districts including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, and Kandhamal.
Additionally, heavy rainfall is anticipated in isolated areas of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, and Kendrapada districts during this period.
