Puri, (Reporterspen), April 17: The Puri district administration recently convened its second preparatory meeting for the upcoming Rath Yatra festival, focusing on vital aspects such as crowd management, timely execution of rituals, and traffic control measures.

Various topics, including crowd management, water supply, sanitation, and law enforcement, were thoroughly discussed during the session chaired by Puri district collector Siddharth Sankar Swain at the Circuit House. The objective was to ensure meticulous arrangements for the festival scheduled on July 7.
During the meeting, it was disclosed that 865 timber logs are required for constructing the three chariots, with 53 currently unused. Consequently, the administration seeks 812 additional timber logs to meet the requirement.

Emphasizing the urgency of completing tasks, Swain highlighted the proximity of the Rath Yatra to the General Elections 2024.
