Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), May 8: Launching a scathing critique of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government’s performance, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh rallied support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha, urging voters to usher in a BJP-led administration to avail themselves of the benefits of central schemes.

Addressing a campaign gathering at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi, Singh accused the Naveen Patnaik administration of denying Odisha’s populace the advantages of various central initiatives.
In a rebuke aimed at the Congress party, Singh underscored the BJP’s commitment to fulfilling its promises, distinguishing it from both the BJD and the Congress. “We are unlike the BJD or Congress. We deliver on our commitments,” he asserted.

Highlighting the electorate’s familiarity with Congress and BJD governance, Singh urged voters to embrace the BJP, promising transformative change if given the opportunity.

Singh assured the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha under BJP rule, criticizing the BJD for its reluctance to adopt the program. He pledged that no eligible individual in Odisha would be denied an Ayushman Bharat card or its benefits under BJP governance.

The BJP leader also expressed confidence in the eradication of poverty within the next 10-15 years, citing the upliftment of over 25 crore people out of poverty across the nation.

Seeking support for BJP’s Kalahandi Lok Sabha candidate, Malvika Devi, and nominees for assembly constituencies within the region, the Defence Minister appealed to the electorate to rally behind the BJP for a transformative future.
