Bhubaneswar, (Reporterspen), April 18: Ollywood actor Varsha Priyadarshini has entered the political arena by officially joining the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ahead of the 2024 elections.
In a ceremony held at Shankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Varsha was warmly received into the BJD by Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra. She praised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, citing his integrity as her motivation for aligning with the party.
Expressing her admiration for the Chief Minister, Varsha highlighted his modesty, calm demeanor, and focus on deeds rather than words. She lauded his contributions to Odisha, hailing him as an unmatched leader and a role model for all.
Varsha’s decision to join the BJD follows her recent divorce from Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty. Anubhav, who was previously associated with the BJD, recently joined the BJP following the dissolution of their marriage as decreed by the Orissa High Court.
