Expressing her sentiments upon joining Congress, Mallick highlighted the significance of embarking on a new journey with the national party.

Regarding her potential candidacy in the upcoming elections, Mallick revealed that discussions with party leaders are pending. Nonetheless, she expressed her aspiration to contest from the Kendrapada Assembly seat and affirmed her preparedness to participate should the party nominate her.
